TOUR HANDBOOK 2016-2017
This handbook is loaded with accurate facts about SUU. Each tour guide is given this handbook over the summer to be able to study up and read all about what SUU has to offer. This is important because a prospect may come with very specific questions and a knowledgeable tour guide is key in a sale.
Deliverables
DEPARTMENT CONTACT INFORMATION
When prospective students come to visit, they often know what they want to study. For example, a Senior in high school know they want to be an Elementary School Teacher. If we contact a professor in the education department to meet with the student, this goes above and beyond.
PROJECT DETAILS
Project Goal: For my EDGE project, I will act as Vice President of Campus Tours. I will create tour training, tour assessment, and update tour submissions.
PA TOUR ASSESSMENT
To me, the importance of this assessment is to base it off the handbook. It isn't fair to test someone on information you didn't provide. Also, I created this assessment to have the things I thought were most essential to know. This way, they could have a visual on where they need to improve.

After everyone took their assessment, I went through them all and corrected them. I highlighted the ones they got wrong and gave them back. This was really important to me because I wanted my tour guides to have the correct information.
SUU CAMPUS TOUR WEBSITE
This is where anyone wanting to schedule a campus tour would visit. After finding that some prospects were confused or getting false information, I revamped the page to make sure that it was all up to date. I also changed things to better serve their needs while here on campus.
